White Shell Wednesday

With the white snow all over Atlanta, I thought it would be neat to snap photos of white sea shells against the brilliant white snow.  So here are a few tone on tone photos I took of shells against our wintery, white background.

This was a fun photography exercise as the brilliant white reflection from the hard packed snow provided a marvelous white background that enhanced the details on my pretty white sea gifts. I liked the results so much that I turned one of the photos into a new header for the winter season.   Have a lovely day everyone.  Sea Witch

I love white things - white seashells, white animals dressed in their winter furs...white flowers...they have a sort of an angelic and innocence to them. It's probably hog wash, because I doubt a black dog is any less angelic than a white one, but it just looks so dog gone pretty ;-) ... I love and miss the snow. I wish I had some here as well!

Thanks for your lovely post and Happy New Year!

That was amazing....it really shows that there are many, many different shades of "white".
Have a great and warm evening!

Very cool shells-in-the-snow idea! I love how they look!

Cabin fever got the best of me and I ventured out in my truck this afternoon---BIG MISTAKE!!!! It's EXTREMELY treacherous out there--I almost didn't get back home! Even small hills are impossible to get up!
